Post #39 (17.05.14) >> Shopping + Oktoberfest + Shopping

Whilst the boys went back to Ichiran for a ramen breakfast, I went on my own to take some more snaps.

Phw0ar ! We're gonna miss out on some epic activity on the Osaka Castle Park grounds :\

After re-uniting with the boys after their brekky, we were bound for the Shinsaibashi train station to go shopping in Umeda.

Yodobashi is a multi level department store selling electronics on the bottom floors and fashion on the upper floors.

Everything was on display, ready to test and try before buying.

Japanese people like to travel to Vietnam as well ?

Oh no ! what have i done ?

We had lunch in a little restaurant under Umeda station.
As we ate we heard the noise of the trains above like thunder and lightning.

999Yen/A$11.00

hOLy boots ... !
After lunch we headed from Umeda in the north to Tennoji down south.

Bye bye Umeda, see you next time !

On the train, we had great difficulty reading the message on this guy's (wait is that a guy ?) tote bag.

Finally after lots of peering we finally got the message: "IF YOU GO HOME WITH SOMEBODY, & THEY DON'T HAVE BOOKS, DON'T F**K EM."

We arrived at Tennoji.
I didn't have any expectations of this area, most guidebooks and internet sites just mention this as the area is where the zoo is.

WOW ! what is this building ?

The Tsutenkaku Tower of Shinsekai.

From the station we walked to Tennoji Park and paid 150Yen/A$1.80 admission for entry to 2014 Oktoberfest.

Yep.
You read right, Oktoberfest ... in May !

On show between May 16th and June 1st is a variety of German beers, German food such as sausages and pretzels & German music band live on stage.

Drinking beer was something else that the Japanese were very enthusiastic about.
They really got into the atmosphere, chanting, singing and clanging their steins.
They weren't shy for a dance either.

As the sun continued to travel west, it was time to return to Namba to do some final shopping then collect our luggage from hotel storage.

Thien took the opportunity to go to soak his n*ts at Spaworld.

Shinsaibashi-suji & Ebibashi-suji shopping streets were so busy because it was Saturday afternoon.

No that's not Paul

Going to miss you Soemon-cho

I took out some money for dinner from the ATM @ 7 Eleven, then went to Don Quixote for Trevor's Kit Kats & Coffee.

We met up here at the front of our hotel at 6:30 for our final dinner in Japan.
